Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC)

The Registrar of Indigenous Corporations is an independent statutory office holder appointed by the Minister for Indigenous Affairs under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act). Find out more about the registrar.

The Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) supports and regulates the corporations that are incorporated under the Act. It provides a tailored service that responds to the special needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups and corporations, and strives for national and international best practice in corporate governance. It offers advice on how to incorporate, delivers training for directors, members and key staff in good corporate governance, makes sure corporations comply with the law, and intervenes when needed.

Connecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with Government

This website is designed to connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with Australian Government policies and programs and raise awareness about the initiatives that affect them most.

The site shares news and events as well as stories from individuals, communities and organisations across Australia. They are real stories about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the challenges and opportunities facing them, and the successes and achievements being demonstrated every day.

Aboriginal Employment Strategy

AES offers a unique service to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into careers, and walks along with them during their employment journey to provide advice, mentoring and other specialist supports.

The Coalition of Peaks

The Coalition of Peaks are made up of over 80 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled peak and member organisations across Australia. The Coalition of Peak members have their own unique histories, needs and priorities, and share a commitment to legitimate community-controlled representation of our communities on matters that are important to our people. We came together as an act of self-determination to work together with Australian governments on Closing the Gap.
